Google has constantly updated its browser. Now, the newly released Chrome 70 now allows the user to do the picture-in-picture (PiP) on YouTube. This means that if you are watching a video on the social network, but want to browse other sites, you can leave the channel running in miniature around while this.
The developer of Google, François Beauffort, said in a post on the company blog that the tool is now available for standard for Chrome users. Thus, when a user activates the PiP, a video box appears and can be moved freely around the screen, getting over any open programs.
Remember that the option is not just the tab in which YouTube is open, but any program. Still, the screen is adjustable, allowing you to modify not only position but also size.
The developer has also published an extension for Chrome and "encourages" other devices to make available a tool for browsers on their sites. If you wanted to know how to put the option in your video player:
Although the developer informs that the option is available by default for all users, it may be that it is not already released to you and come soon enough. If already, just click right on top of a YouTube video and then click "Picture in picture".
