Artists’ Day is celebrated on 24 August.
On this day, also known as Artists’ Day, congratulations are due to all artists around the world: actors, film directors, poets, writers, painters, sculptors, composers, musicians, dancers, craftspeople, photographers, sportspeople, and so on. An artist is anyone who expresses themselves through art and who cultivates an appreciation of beauty and art; as such, artists can be found in a wide variety of fields.
Artists’ Day aims to thank all those who, through their art, enable people to escape their reality and dream. Without artists, the world would not be so colourful and rich. As artists often sacrifice a large part of their lives to create works for the good of the community, this day was established to honour artists and all their work.
To celebrate this day, you could promote your favourite artists, discover the work of new artists or support emerging artists. Another option is to let your imagination run wild and unleash the artist within you.
